SPOILER ALERT: What Does It Feel Like To Have Your Book Positively Reviewed By The New York Times?

That's what I wanted to know after seeing The Metropolis Case, the debut novel from Washington Heights homeowner and writer Matthew Gallaway, glowingly reviewed in The New York Times.

Reached via email, Gallaway told NYC The Blog:
"The short answer is that it's a dream come true. I've been working on the novel for the better part of a decade, and while it's always a pleasure to have anyone understand it on so many levels, it's almost beyond belief when the reader in question is also reviewing for The Times. I feel incredibly lucky..."
So there you have it, now you know. It's almost the same as finishing your novel, publishing it and having it glowingly reviewed in the Times!

The Times, by the way, called the book "enchanting" and "so well written," and left the reviewer already wondering what Gallaway will write next.
