The Wall Street Journal 'Journal Community' Depicts Obama With Hitler Mustache

The Wall Street Journal's Journal Community page is "...a marketplace of ideas for The Wall Street Journal readers," where you "interact with guest experts and Journal reporters in rich conversations." This marketplace of ideas includes an Impeach Obama group depicting President Obama with a Hitler mustache (seen at left).

An email to the moderator of the community pages inquiring about the image, which has been up for weeks, was not immediately returned.

Wall Street Journal Steps Off The New York Times

The Great Newspaper War of the 0'10 might be near a truce. The Wall Street Journal has stopped dropping their newspapers on top of The New York Times in Starbucks and other locations on the Upper East Side.

After introducing their Greater New York section, The Wall Street Journal tried their best to put the paper in your hands by covering The Times where ever they could.

That has stopped, but as seen in the photo top right, now The New York Observer and USA Today will have to suffer that fate, at least as witnessed in Starbucks.

Is The Wall Street Journal's Cut Rate Advertising Pricing Illegal?

Rueters reported last week that The Wall Street Journal: "is offering some businesses firesale prices for full-page ads in its highly anticipated New York edition to seduce advertisers away from The New York Times."

This sounds similar to the fight between the SF Weekly and San Francisco Bay Guardian in The Great West Coast Newspaper War.

In that case a San Francisco jury found the SF Weekly guilty of: "lowering the costs of its advertising space with the intent of putting its rival out of business." They were ordered to pay $21 million in damages.
