Park Avenue Armory is hosting a free exhibit,
Infinite Variety: Three Centuries of Red and White Quilts, coordinated by the American Folk Art Museum. The dramatic “Alice in Wonderland-like" installation will spiral as high as 45 feet into the air, displaying
650 651 red and white American textiles on loan from Joanna S. Rose, a private New York collector. No two are alike. At the close of the show, Rose is gifting 50 of the "most beautiful and historically significant quilts" to the American Folk Art Museum, to be selected by their curators.
