A women ready to assist residents in a newly opened lobby of 2 Cooper Square on the east 4th Street side

The newly finished lobby was adorned with fresh flowers and furniture arranged about, as the women at the desk worked the phone. Very confused, I asked her: "Why are you sitting at the desk? Do people live here?" Yes, she smiled, slightly amused with my questions. "But just here in the south section. The front side isn't finished yet." People moved in a couple of months ago, she explained.
Very surprised and confused, I thanked her, and walked out. NYC The Blog emailed 2 Cooper Square and the Atlantic Group (who constructed the building) last night looking for confirmation and will update with any response. We do know, according the The Real Deal, that after more than two months on the market, "...one-third of the 134 apartments were pre-leased for between $75 and $100 per square foot."
