Cyclists Visits Hudson River Park And Leaves Bike Unlocked
A bike is left untended and unlocked at Hudson River Park near Chelsea, after its owner rode to the park and dutifully dismounted, as the sign instructs, before entering to stroll about the manicured grounds. The carefree citizen parked her bike at the bike rack and meandered away. Ten minutes later the untroubled cyclist was no where to be seen.
Who would do such a thing, and was this a habit? Are the denizens of Manhattan who patronize Hudson River Park so genteel as to render the use of bicycle locks unnecessary? Unfortunately, that is not the case in Nolita.
