What's In A NYC OEM Approved 'Go Pack'? Let's Find Out

The NYTimes City Room blog asked you last year, "Disasters in New York: Have You Packed Your 'Go Bag'?"

The NYC OEM is encouraging households in NYC to prepare and keep 'Go Packs', or 'Go Bags', and have set up pages on their website to help inform and explain on just how to be prepared for all manner of emergencies, including what you should keep packed in case of sudden disaster. "Every household should pack a Go Bag — a collection of items you may need in the event of an evacuation. A Go Bag should be packed in a sturdy, easy-to-carry container such as a backpack or suitcase on wheels. A Go Bag should be easily accessible if you have to leave your home in a hurry. Make sure it is ready to go at all times of the year."

Just what is in an official NYC OEM approved Go Bag? Let's find out in the video below. (photo set here)
